My IMM Experience in Italy

On10th October 2019, at 17:30 pm I was at the station taking a train from Lleida, (Pirineus) to Barcelona (Sants). At that moment my journey to a new destination began, a path that would lead me to a new experience full of adventures. It was the beginning of my trip to Italy, where I would spend 4 months studying International Marketing Management, in the Jobs Academy.

I spent the night in my friend’s house, and the next day in the morning I took my backpack on my back, the  suitcase in my hand, and being a bit nervous , I took the underground that left me at the airport gate. After I had done the check in of my luggage, and had passed the control, I went to meet the other students that would be my flatmates, classmates and some of them friends for almost 4 months. The meeting was very friendly, and they looked very nice people. The next step was boarding on the plane, it was easy, but when the plane started to fly, I had a very unpleasant feeling for a moment, since I felt fear, anyway it was normal because it was my first time taking a plane. The views from the windows were magical, beautiful and indescribable with words.

At 11:00 am we arrived to Bergamo, at first my prospects about this experience was very bad because I thought that living with 9 people in the same flat and sharing everything, including the bed would be uncomfortable. But after 4 months, just at that moment I was very happy, surprised and proud. This experience made me learn a lot of things: how to manage living with 9 people, to grow as a person, to be more responsible and also to learn a lot about marketing management. I have to say that not always I felt well, but thanks to some bad things that happened to me, I learned how to better handle them and improve them.

Now I am thankful and grateful to the people who pushed me to take the step to make this trip and also to my family for bringing me the opportunity to make one of my dreams come true, travelling and studying abroad.
