MY GREAT EXPERIENCE ERASMUS IN PORTUGAL

My name is Eric Castro. This is my article about what we did on the Erasmus course in Portugal, at the Amar Tierra Verde school in the Vila Verde village, they taught us the different ways of learning in Portugal.

The vast majority of our days in Portugal we ate in the same school canteen where the food was of a very good standard.

In our second week in Portugal we saw that in the city of Braga they hold a festival about the roman era, where many schools participated and the whole city was represented as ancient Rome. The students are disguised as soldiers, slaves, Cesar and play their roles.

I must say that he apartment they provided for us was very good for 2 people, if they offered me a flat like this to live alone, I would accept it without hesitation. We had a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, oven, terrace and in general it had everything that was needed to live comfortably well

At the Amar Tierra Verde school, they taught us the different ways they make the projects of home automation and electric installations, telecommunications and electronics. I could see that the private schools don’t work like in Spain, you don’t have to pay to be able to study in the school, they give you the money for the transport, the food, for your stay and they also give you an IPad to be able to use it as a means of work and at the end of the 3 years of study, the IPad is given to you totally free. In this high school they teach mechanics, electro mechanics, electricity, stylistics, hairdressing, hospitality and several more.  In the town of Villa Verde, we went to a learning museum where the high school presented its projects made during the school year to the whole town along with other improvised projects and they showed us a presentation about Portugal.   In general the welcome they gave us at the Amar Tierra Verde school was very pleasant. Another experience I had in this trip to Portugal was getting on a plane for the first time in my life!
