We are students at Escola del Treball vocational school in Lleida and we are studying administration and finance. We took part in a school trip to Ireland promoted by the Plan for foreign languages Vocational Training program. We are going to tell about our experience During our stay in Dublin (February 26th to March 4th), we followed the following program:
– In the mornings we went to the Apollo Academy for an English course, we were split into two groups according to the level of each student. We also learned a lot about the history and culture of Ireland.
– in the afternoons, we met with our tutors and classmates for afternoon activities with a guide, such as: visiting the city, the Phoenix Park, the St Patrick’s Cathedral, Howth, etc.
– Finally, we had some free time which we took advantage of to venture around the city on our own, using the transportation cards we were given. This allowed us to put our English more into practice.
We would also like to highlight the role of our host families. We are grateful to them for their kindness, and we keep a lovely memory of them.
